I love supporting women to pursue the best version of themselves. I want to share resources and tips to help you achieve your ideal lifestyle.

Hi, I'm Shannon

If you haven’t been feeling as good as you normally do, there are things you can do to feel better. These include:

  • Establishing regular exercise routines
  • Focusing less on your weight and more on overall health
  • Having a sense of purpose
  • Eating a variety of foods
  • Limiting alcohol consumption
  • Knowing your family’s health history
  • Learning how to relax
  • Letting go of the past
  • Taking care of your skin

In this article, we’ll cover each of these in more detail.

1. Establish Regular Exercise Routines

Regular exercise routines are important for becoming a strong independent woman. Regular exercise energizes you, builds lean muscle, and prevents heart disease, colon cancer, and diabetes. It also reduces depression and anxiety.

2. Focus Less on Your Weight and More on Overall Health.

If you’re not applying for these jobs for attractive females, improve your health instead of your weight. Take up hobbies that keep you in shape. Your health, body image, and social life will improve, and you will lose weight easier.

3. Have a Sense of Purpose

To feel purposeful, ask yourself who do you want to be. Be the best version of yourself. By doing this, you’ll find your purpose. With a growth mindset, you’ll accept criticism. Next, create a vision statement.  This can help you manage stress by helping you make decisions aligned with your core values.

Give back

Giving back enhances life’s meaning and purpose. Get involved in causes that matter. Give kindness to spread happiness.

Practice gratitude

Gratitude strengthens your purpose. Make a gratitude list every morning.

Use your pain

We all have struggles. Our experiences give us unique perspectives. College students and young adults seek help when overcoming life changes. Later, helping others can become a purpose.

You could provide direct help to people as a social worker. Writers, painters, and musicians use the arts to impact lives. Some become motivational speakers. You decide how to transform your pain into purpose.

Discover your passions.

Passions and interests may reveal your life purpose. They can be hard to figure out. They are ingrained in us, so we become blind to them. Find out what drives you.

Be part of a community

Community participation can increase your sense of purpose. Your purpose attracts others who share your interests, passions, and values. Working together makes you feel connected.

Spend time with inspiring people

In Jim Rohn’s words, you are the average five people you spend the most time with. Positive, purpose-driven people are inspiring.

Read

Expand your mental horizons through fiction. There is knowledge in nonfiction books. However, fiction reading has more benefits. It improves empathy, critical thinking, and creativity. Reading also makes you feel connected to others.

Join a cause

Everyone cares about a certain cause. Several of the tips above tie together in fighting for a cause:

  • Contributing to the community
  • Having a passion for what you do.
  • Being surrounded by inspiring people.

Making a difference gives you meaning.

Practice self-acceptance.

Accept your limitations when things go wrong. Learn from each setback. Empathy increases self-awareness. Accept yourself, and you’ll perform well.

Take time for self-care.

Your self-care routine is unique. Practice deep breathing, walk in the forest, or journal.

Self-care keeps our brains relaxed. Service is impossible if you’re battling yourself. Do ideas come to you in the shower? The mind is more open to ideas when forced to think.

Relaxed minds think creatively. This is how you find your purpose. Feeling good again is just a matter of finding it.

4. Eat a Variety of Foods.

Healthy habits for women include a varied diet. Get enough vitamins and nutrients in your diet. Ideally, women should eat foods from all food groups. Get medical advice from a specialist about what foods are best.

5. Limit Your Alcohol Consumption

US standard drinks contain .6 ounces of pure alcohol. According to the CDC, it is commonly found in 12 ounces of beer with 5% alcohol content; 8 ounces of hard liquor (7% alcohol content); 5 ounces of wine (12% alcohol content) 1.5 ounces of 80-proof (40% alcohol content) distilled spirits or liquor (gin, rum, vodka or whiskey).

Moderate drinking is defined as two drinks or less for men and one drink or less for women. Be aware of this if you have alcoholism in your family; stopping after one can be the hardest part of drinking with friends.

6. Know Your Family’s Health History.

Take extra precautions if your family has diabetes or high blood pressure.

7. Learn How to Relax

Managing personal finance for women can be stressful. That’s why you should relax.  Meditation, yoga, and deep breathing are healthy relaxation techniques.

8. Let Go of The Past.

One of my favorite independent female quotes is Hillary Clinton’s, “Every moment wasted looking back keeps us from moving forward.” She sums it up perfectly. Holding on to it prevents us from moving forward. Concentrate on the future and forget the people who wronged you in the past.

9. Take Care of Your Skin.

If you’re wondering how do you invest in yourself as a woman, start by taking care of your skin. There are many health benefits of coconut oil, including improving the health of your skin. It can be used for xerosis or rough skin.
