Hi, I'm Shannon

If you’ve always wanted to become a lady of style, the good news is it’s easy to do. There are three easy steps you can take – follow the latest fashion trends, expand your wardrobe, and don’t be afraid to be bold. We’ll expand on each step in this article.

Here’s How You Feel Like a Lady of Style

When you don’t follow the latest fashion trends, it sends the message, “I don’t know how to dress.”  While you don’t always have to wear the latest styles of clothing, you should at least see if you can find clothes in the latest styles that look good based on your body type. Places to follow fashion trends include:

  • Trendzoom
  • Elle
  • Glamour
  • Vogue
  • TheFashionSpot
  • Who What Wear
  • The Impression
  • Harper’s Bazaar

These places have some great information on trendy pieces according to the US fashion industry and great outfits for different occasions, and would even be enough to send you to the red carpet, meet the royal family, or the first lady.

There are also a blogs you can follow to get information about style icons, trendy pieces, and great outfits. Some of these include:

  • XO Necole – This blog features celebrity news, beauty routines, and money advice. It’s great for those who want to stay up to date with what’s happening in the world.

  • 9 to 5 Chic – If you want to talk fashion and love minimalist style, check out this blog. It has many ideas for outfits, including fashion photos with weekend wear, work outfits, and more.
  • Julia Berolzheimer – This is another great fashion blog if you’re looking for inspiration. It includes daily posts of style looks, and you can create a unique look by following this website’s fashion trends.
  • Fashion Steele NYC – This blog was created by Monroe Steele, a content creator who focuses on fashion, travel, beauty and lifestyle content based in New York City and Miami Beach. She started her blog in 2010 to show her fashion sense since she was always in scrubs working as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She left healthcare in 2019 after working in the field for 10 years and went full-time as a blogger.
  • Hello Fashion – This blog was started by Christine Andrew of Salt Lake City in 2011 so she could blog about her favorite sales and fashion purchases. She provides posts on topics such as fashion, beauty, travel, fitness, relationships, and food, among other topics.

Step 2: Expand Your Wardrobe

Once you’ve started following the latest fashion trends and found some styles that look good on your body type, start expanding your wardrobe. If you’re afraid to do this, ask yourself how do you invest in yourself as a woman. Fashionable clothes aren’t just an expense, they’re an investment that will last a long time – several years if you take care of them correctly. If you’ve worked hard to get a healthy woman’s body, it’s time to show it off.

Wear bright colors if they’re right for your hair color and skin tone; if your skin tone is neutral, wear neutral colors. Look for elegant looks for a more contemporary style, or wear a mini skirt if it’s right for your body type.

You can also create your own style. No matter what you do, make sure it’s appropriate for the occasion.

Step 3: Don’t Be Afraid to be Bold

Remember, confidence is beauty. If a bold look is appropriate for the occasion, go for it. But if you’re going to a special occasion or a beauty pageant, you may want a more elegant look. Formal wear and high fashion can cost a lot of money, so you may want to look for a good deal somewhere.

You have a unique style that reflects your personality. The clothes you wear say a lot about you. Take pride in your style because it represents your inner self.

Name your style – You’re not just trendy, eclectic, or athletic. You might consider yourself to fall into more than one category, so try defining your own. Sporty sneakers and pencil skirts might indicate streetwise prep. Wearing body suits with jeans may indicate that you are an inactive ballerina.

What to Keep in Mind as You Improve Your Style

1. Fashion is Determined by the Beholder

Other people may seem to be judging your fashion choices, but they could be wondering what you think about their clothing. Don’t start worrying about how you look. If it looks good on you, wear it.

2. Wearing our Personal Style Makes us Feel Most Confident

Being true to yourself shows. Start trusting your gut and instincts when it comes to style.

3. Fashion is Empowering

Shopping for clothes and styling outfits is fun and empowering. We feel our best when we wear clothes that make us look our best.

4. Owning Your Style Leads to Happiness.

Having your own style means feeling good. Take time to enjoy what brings you joy.

Becoming a Lady of Style

That’s what you need to know about how to become a lady of style. As you look at different clothing options and figure out which pieces fit your style, you’ll start feeling more confident than you have in a long time.

When people ask you how you created your unique style, don’t be afraid to share these tips with them; the more people that know how to create their own personal style, the more people will realize the benefits of feeling confident, attractive, noticed, put together, and the more people will see themselves in a new light.
